Again, thanks for the help here. wget http://kirrus.co.uk/stuff/pz/wheezy-glibc-sid.sh gives this: and then bash wheezy-glibc-sid.sh gives this: Server OS is not Debian Wheezy. This script must be run on a Debian server, release Wheezy (7). I'm with Creeper Host and don't have access to a control panel or anything - they just provide log in details for PuTTY etc. Looks like CentOS to be honest.

Hang on I think something has gone very wrong here Connall I have the following directories on my server now: home/steam/steamcmd/zomboidserver/ home/steam/Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid both contain a projectzomboid folder, Zomboid folder (as created as part of the guide), and the two .sh files Only diffeernce is the first directory also holds a cd7.......folder and the latter one has the wheezy......sh file I think this is actually driving me insane

LOL, I think we are running in circles here Connall but I do appreciate you trying to help so many thanks. I am very, very aware of what a VPS is and how they work which is why I am interested in having one running Project Zomboid - as you say this enables the game server to run 24/7 and I'd really rather not host the game on my own hardware. I think you answered my query when you say you are unsure of how Windows Server OS works - that is why I asked of there was a guide like you did for the Linux set-up. I appreciate you trying to help - let's hope the beta goes well and some of the more well known game server hosting companies step up and offer a service. Out of interest - are there any companies you would recommend who do allow game hosting - your Linux guide is very detailed but there is no mention of anyone you'd consider for this.

Erm, not to come off as arsey but I know exactly what a VPS is - I was just asking if you knew of any hosts that you'd recommend for hosting games as I know many server hosting companies would not permit that. Also, I was asking for a step by step guide for setting this up on a Windows VPS - as I said I am aware of the Linux guide - is there one for Windows? By the way the game itself rocks - absolutely loved what I have seen so far!

Are there are any server hosts out there currently supporting the MP element of Project Zomboid? I would love to hear from you as I'm interested in having a server set-up - preferably UK based.
