  1. I guess you go on holiday to Elevenerife Rikashey?
  2. I think I might be safe enough to start farming now
  3. I tried to test if crates were better than walls but its not very easy to do. The yellow dot is a level 5 wall that held up throughout, everything else is level 4 except for the red dots. The zombies smashed all the crates including behind the wall so I guess walls are stronger but its not very easy to tell. The blue dots are where I found zombies inside the walls. I have no idea how they got in as even the corners had pillars in the way. The buggers even got into my gatehouse this time where the pink dot is.
  4. I found it a bit boring to play. Find a sledgehammer in the large warehouse. Break into the gun store with it. Loot ammo from Giga Mart and the hotel reception next door. Gun down all the zombies in downtown. Congratulations you have won West Point.
  5. The crates held up pretty well to be fair. They first started breaking about two thirds of they way through but I did let the zombies bunch up so I could maximize my shotgun shells. Some crates took quite a beating from big crowds. Concentrated spots of zombies will bash through crates fairly quickly if you don't kill them. I suspect the same would also happen to walls. I might even test it and let you know how it goes.
  6. I did lure them in rather than it being a proper horde. I wanted to test if the defences would work. The outer layer failed about 7 crates in each direction on the south corner. It was a bit worrying as they all broke one after another.
  7. This lot tried to break into my safehouse but I stopped them I reckon there are at least 600 in shot. Its quite worrying when they start breaking through the outer layer of crates. I am glad I built them 2 deep.
  8. I discovered a really cool trick for building yesterday that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere but I could be wrong. You need to cut your logs into planks and lay them along the path of your wall for example. You need to put enough down to allow for your construction later on. The benefit of doing this is that you can level your carpentry skills without wasting nails and the actual construction goes up in minutes. It seems as long as there are enough planks on the ground you don't have to pick them up from the ground to build with them. So when you click build wall you can keep on laying walls down as fast as your guy can build them providing you have enough nails. In this construction I spent several days in game sawing planks and laying them out but the entire construction went up in less than a day. All my walls started at level 4 as well. If you look in the bottom right you can see unused planks where I put too many down on the floor. I just went back to an old save to make a quick video to show you what I am talking about.
  9. My saw broke last night otherwise I would have finished the fencing. I started extending the fence so that the entrance to the warehouses is also included in my area. There is not a lot of farmland in there and the zombies will be able to see you as well.
  10. I got bored with that save so I started a new one.
  11. My current place. I have only just found a trowel and started farming but the power has been off for about 4 days now.
