  1. Wait, you want to build a town INSIDE of a town? You shouldn't even consider building anything near already present structures, it would make the town in its first days susceptible to grievers and freshly spawned players who have nothing to lose. Build it far away from civilization so raiders are less likely to travel there just to grief. And those that do make the journey are either well intentioned or determined trolls, who do seem to bring interesting things in motion. The idea was for the town to be 100% player made, if this is true, then non-player made structures are out.
  2. I'd be delighted to join your settlement. But on the condition that in order for people to join the council, certain standards must be met. 1. They must prove to be online at least once a day so as not to have a council full of absent people. 2. They are not allowed to leave the settlement, unless under special circumstances. 3. They can come and go if they prove to be incompetent. 4. They must do a certain amount of paperwork and keep up with the changing dynamics of the settlement. 5. Bad grammar shouldn't be overlooked.
  3. I prefer voice-chat over getting shot in the head while I'm typing something. You'd either need a buddy who does the talking for you or you have to be lucky enough to meet someone who's into roleplaying. It's the reason why people tend to shoot on sight; there's no time for chit-chat, pressing 't' to chat means you're vulnerable for combat-ready strangers with an itchy trigger finger. I would suggest binding keys to customizable one-liners. Example: Pressing '4' would make your character say "I'm friendly! Are you?" Pressing '5' would make your character say "Put your gun down!" Pressing '6' would make your character say "Stop walking. Turn your back to me and start typing, son." Pressing '7' would make your character say "I'm gonna drag your corpse up the stairs and throw you off the building!" etc. etc. This way, players know what they can expect. Sadly, it also gives SoS'ers a new means to keep their target still after gaining their trust. Either way, a new form of quick-chatting is made.
  4. Name: John Crossfield Age: 24 Previous Occupation before Outbreak: Night Watchman Occupation you wish: (Guard) Backstory: The life John used to live was not special nor significant. A man like any other, he has had his ups and downs. The only thing he learnt from his previous life is that a life in a bar is not a life at all.
  5. Since there are no dogs in this game, even though there are plenty of cans of dogfood lying around the entire map, and ever since roleplaying is smiled upon during online sessions, I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to play as my dog? Since there are no beige dogs, I was thinking that you should make your character brown so as to add to the authenticity of the role. You'd wear a brown shirt with brown pants to match, shoes are optional. All I ask of you is that you bark here and there and get me the newspaper, which a paperboy will drop in, if not, close to my mailbox every morning at 6am. (Those who seem interested in the mailman role should be warned that dropping the newspaper near my mailbox at a time later than 6 am will be shot on sight.) I also ask of you that you bark when danger is near and act as a dogshield when raiders break into my house to steal my belongings. I will feed you 1 can of dogfood every other day. I will also pet you five times a week and bathe you every other Sunday. Be aware that I believe in tough love, so know what you sign up for. Regards, Gratios
