It's similar to what happens if you drink bleach, but it has been happening without having done it. Ironically, though, as soon as i posted this, the problem seems to have gone on it's own, and I now have a happily ( well, actually probably not ) living survivor at day 15 =) I'll let you guys know if it shows up again.

You're relying on a sci-fi/action flick as your source. Just to make it plain how reliable those are, in the latest Die Hard movie, they remove radition by waving some kind of techno-forks around. Legit?

I'm playing the paid version, yes, and no, I didn't play the demo before buying it. Besides, as it said above, the damage applied is much, much faster than infection. You don't get sick or anything either. It simply says that you have an injury, slight pain, and then your healthbar starts to drop rapidly untill you die.

I'm playing the version on Steam, whatever one that is. Btw. sleeping doesn't help, and it's no different on sandbox.

Having this problem aswell to a degree where I can't live past more than 2-3 days - sometimes even less. Tried dying from this only 9 hours in. From my experience it doesn't matter if you're carrying a lot or a little - I've had most of my spontanious deaths happen with no over-loaded icon appear, and even if I drop everything it still continues. It doesn't matter if you're inside or outside, as I've had the injury come while standing still in a bedroom, and while crossing a patch of grass. In general, it doesn't matter what you do. I've had this happen in ALL my 7-8 attempts at playing this. There's no injury showing up when I examine my health, other than overall health dropping rapidly. Pain and injury icons are showing, and I can cure the pain with painkillers, but the injury still gets worse. I seem to remember that sleeping doesn't help either, but I'm testing that atm.
