  1. Does the issue happen without mods as well as a test on a new server in that case? Since we would need to rule that out.

  3. Do you have any mods on the server? Since if you tested other servers, the difference would be either in the connection quality, or with the specific mods and settings on the server.
  4. There are not many useful logs here. In which case can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main server install folder?
  5. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  6. In that case, so we can check the game log for any other errors or clues, can you share your logs.zip file found in Home\Zomboid?
  7. Generally Debian is not paired well with more recent cards, so there may be some driver issues depending on the card you are using. Did you try running the game through Proton though? Even if the game can run natively, just as a test to see if running through that helps. Since that would help pin the problem down slightly.
  8. Do you perhaps have a video of that? And did you try using the "Alternate Launch" option?
  9. Hmm, there does seem to be some extra info here now. It would seem like as if the issue would be caused by some sort of overlay specifically. In which case, can you try disabling your Steam overlay to see if that helps? Here is a simple guide with pictures on how to do that: https://wealthofgeeks.com/how-to-disable-steam-overlay/
  10. The log shows you loading into the game and then exiting out manually. Meaning you had to have loaded just fine into the main menu. Can you tell us what your issue is exactly?
  11. It still clearly shows mod errors in the log. Try going to your Home/Zomboid folder and delete the "mods" folder located there. After that, try starting a new game again?
  12. Based on the video, it shows several mod errors as far as I can see. Does this issue happen without any mods enabled?
  13. Based on the logs it seems like the issue is that your server cannot connect to the Steam servers. There was an outage yesterday if I remember correctly, so that may have been the issue. Can you first try restarting your PC and then checking if you can start your server now?
  14. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  15. In the case that you can run it with mods, have you tried removing some of them? Or testing by adding mods one by one? Because this would mean that likely either your mod list is way too big for your PC, or that the mods are not compatible with each other, or have memory leaks. In which case I can only suggest going through the mod list to figure out which mod is causing the issue by testing the mods on the server one by one.
  16. There do not seem to be any errors here, it just seems to be a log of you loading in the main menu and then quitting the game as far as I can tell?
  17. Can you share a screenshot of that?
  18. More often than not, the logs will not be helpful with mod errors due to the nature of certain mods. But you can share the logs and I can try to have a look at them for any clues.
  19. Still looks like an out of memory error, are you able to play a singleplayer game by the way? Just to make sure it would not be a more serious issue. Our official Discord is this: https://discord.gg/0lGvMrCiUWbasJFh
  20. The latest 3 logs still show a memory crash, are you sure you have enough memory to allocate 8GB to the server? The game itself reserves around 3GB, meaning you would need to have less than 5GB used by background programs (browsers and so on) Therefore try lowering it again and see it that helps? Preferably without mods.
  21. I would need to see the logs.zip file instead, since that one contains a lot more logs than just the ones you sent, for example I cannot check the server settings this way, which may be the main issue.
  22. Based on the logs, you have 16 total on your System correct? Meaning both 16 and 10 may be way too much still, I would recommend assigning around 4-6GB instead. If that still does not help, can you share the logs again to check if it would show a different error?
  23. This update should answer that question, the port was added there, your latency is likely a placebo, or a network issue, because if you do not use the port, you basically use the exact same protocol as you did before the update.
  24. The "port 16262 closed" error is specifically caused by the 16262 UDP port not being correctly opened either on the server owner’s router or in their firewall. I can only recommend making sure that you correctly port forward the UDP protocol 16261 and 16262 ports to your Local IP. Alternatively, it will show up if you use the "Use Steam Relay" option when connecting to a dedicated server. In which case it can be ignored, if the Steam Relay provides better stability over the direct connection. Here are some good guides for it as well: https://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/general-port-forwarding-guide https://www.windowscentral.com/how-open-port-windows-firewall If doing that still does not work, I can only recommend contacting your Internet Service provider to make sure that they allow hosting a server on your IP and that they do not block the 16262 port themselves.
  25. This is a fairly accurate guide on how to do that: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?l=danish&id=2714520161
