Will there ever be an improved version of the sheet rope that is made with just normal rope?

I'm getting a bug where things are disappearing. I looted a few garages and found a lot of duct tape and wood glue but when I went to use them they weren't in my bag. This also happened later when I raided the GIGA mart and I found both jars and jar lids and when I put them into my bag they disappeared.
