  1. So our world was started with 32.2 or .3.....and while looking through the notes I saw that there should be a zombies.ini now where I can change the settings. I'm updated to 32.8, however I can't find a zombies.ini file. I figured the most likely place was in the ./Server directory with the serversettings.ini, but I did look elsewhere. 32.6 says it added zombies.ini to every save, and the subsequent updates discuss removing options from the other .ini and .lua files, however none of that has changed in my world save. Is this only applicable to NEW worlds started after 32.6?
  2. What was LeoIvanov's idea? I was checking this topic few pages back but I found nothing specific about new settings. I'm curious. Not sure if anyone answered this for you, but I found his suggestions in this thread: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/15006-official-build-32-zombie-population-feedback-thread/?p=187888
  3. Ok, the commands are now working. I swear, I was at work earlier and NOT drinking...now I'm home and drinking it it works. lol Seriously though, I think my problem was I thought your were putting "username" <- like that.......in quotes to show "replace this" so I didn't put the "" around the username (thinking the "": was a "replace this area" indicator, not supposed to be put). Thanks for the help, looks like it's working now....Playing in a few minutes and if you don't see me again...you'll know it's working fine!
  4. I'm DEFINATELY not the right person to help....my experience with servers for this game are minimal and limited to my own mistakes...and in Linux.....BUT..... I was really impatient when I ran the linux shell script to start the server for the first time....which is similar to the windows batch file you're talking about.....It took a few minutes the first time I ran it. I assumed it had to do with the other stuff going on with the server, but the last time I did it, I went to the men's room after I started it, and when I got back it was running...... Is it possible you're like me, and not waiting long enough for it to run thinking it's hung up?
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. I updated my client and that did fix the admin username in the client issue.....but now I can no longer connect to my server. I'm getting "send to failed with code -1 for char 5 and length 1464" in the feedback window on the client, and no connection attempt messages on the server (no change in the server firewall, I did try to run an update on it just in case). Edit - Sorry, I rebooted the server and it looks like it may be working fine now. I still can't type the commands directly in the console (without the / in front) however I'll look more into it later tonight.
  6. Hi all, sorry if this has been explained before, but I couldn't find it after a while of looking. I've got a commandline server running on a Linux VM (Redhat 6) I spawned at work. I got through the the setup with only a couple issues (can't for the life of me figure out how the name the server, so it's called "servertest"). During the initial run, the script created the admin user, and I gave it a password. I can't run any commands in the console that show them with a / in front, so I assume they can only be run in game. If I try to run them in the console, I get "Unknown command /grantadmin "User". If I try it without the / I get "Grant the admin rights to a user, use : /grantadmin "username"". So I assume I have to load the game and log in in order to administrate it with commands that show a "/" command in the terminal window. So I tried to log in using "admin" and the password I created, however when I type "admin" as the user name, several fields get a red border and I can't log in. See attached screenshot. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here? Once I type the "n" in admin, it goes red, and stays that way even if I type admin12345. Thanks in advance. edit: I forgot to mention, I can log in just fine as a regular user.
