My CPU (13th gen i9k series) appears to be doing all of the heavy lifting in this game whilst my Matrix Platinum 4090 (24GbVRAM) just sits and idles. any ideas what is wrong here?
I have 360 AIO coolers on both but I've noticed spikes of 70 degrees on my CPU and my graphics card is sat there at the base temps of 35 (celsius, not fantasy units)
I do run an ungodly amount of mods (393 at my last count), but even vanilla appears to be the same
I do love this game i love it so much, i just wish that the most expensive part of my rig helped in playing it
TIA
Can you share all “hs_err_pid” files found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
Also can you go to the Windows Reliability Monitor (search Reliability Monitor in the start menu) and find any crashes relating to Project Zomboid? If there are any can you double click on them and share screenshots of the technical details.
It's not really RNG and panic related as i think i can consistently replicate the bug in some PC (or keyboard?), even outside of the game.
I think it is windows related
I think the bigger issue is zombie priority rather than volume. A house alarm attracting more zombies than ongoing gunfire from a nearby player does feel a bit odd from a gameplay perspective.
