Sure. However, it does not make sense and seems to be a bug. And that is the reason why we report it here. Pigs seem to be different than other animals (regarding poop). Or to put it more formally: "Some animals are more equal than others". Who knew that TIS implemented this as well. 

Can you try disabling it briefly while playing to see if it helps at all?

I assume if you play with the sandbox you can add the dung items to the list of items that despawn from the ground.

When you swapped from B41 to B42 did you clear out everything from the $HOME/Zomboid folder?

This is still a problem, if you only have 1 pig: i had more than 30 dung piles from one male pig within just a couple of days. In contrast, there are almost no dung piles from cows/bulls.
