I can confirm it's not just watch bags though, but Zomboid sounds too.
My guess is that sounds in general coming from the south-southeast quadrant relative to the player character's circle of hearing have an incorrect attenuation/volume.

Locate a Charcoal Grill
Place Fuel, Flint and Tinder on ground/in crates/in player's backpack
Right Click on Charcoal Grill, observe the inability to fuel/light from those inventories
Place Fuel, Flint and Tinder in player's main inventory
Right Click on Charcoal Gril, observe that we can now light the grill
Found A Second Example Of This Bug. I am going to refrain from running around and listing every single one as it should probably be assumed that any staircase with a room beside it on the second floor and the basement staircase below the first floor's staircase will produce this bug.

Description : At the top of the staircase for the second floor you are able to vault through the bedroom wall. This seems to be due to the basement staircase handrail on the first floor as upon destroying it I was unable to vault through the wall anymore. The metal sound is likely coming from the handrail as well as they seem to have used the metal handrail instead of wood for some reason in the houses that use this design.
