They probably should add stuff like that. The only problem will be game developer overemphasis. Like it would be cool to have as a fringe risk but once a feature gets developed, it's probably difficult to convince yourself to make it barely ever happen. Even if society collapsed and the lack of human activity caused animals to roam closer to former human settlements, they would still flee from humans more than they would attack.
If you just mean predators in the food chain (attacking other animals) and not necessarily animals that would attack the players, it's been done in way less sophisticated games so I don't see why they couldn't pull it off.
First thing i noticed when animals first released, was the apparent lack of predator animals such as bears, wolves, foxes, snakes etc. I don't know what animals would circle around in Kentucky. If anyone more educated on wildlife could tell me what animals would be seen, feel free to do so. And while at it, could you tell me if you think it would be appropriate to add such animals to the game?
Looks like outdated manually installed mods.
Try deleting the “zombie” folder from steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid — if that doesn’t work, uninstall the game, delete the entire ProjectZomboid folder to remove leftover files & folders, then reinstall.
