grendown
I am new to the process of making maps, and I have run into some difficulty using the images I made to make the base of the map. I am using Gimp and have tried both using BMP and PNG files and still am unable to use them in WorldEd. In addition, I do have a _Veg layer present and have made sure that both the non-vegetation PNG and Vegetation PNG are both present in the folder since I have seen that in previous threads. I can attach my files if wanted, and thanks for any help!
sattler360
I'm having this same problem. I'm in WorldEd. New 2 cell x 2 cell map created. When I try to "drag and drop the base image (MyMap.BMP) into the WorldEd window" I'm stuck. 1. Does this mean drag the file into the application window or "The World" window? 2. In either case, I get a Ghostbusters-circle-slash icon wherever I drag my .bmp file and nothing happens. My base file, my _veg file, and my _zombiespawn file in the same directory. All are listed in WorldEd's "Maps" window (see screenshot) I've tried changing the color depth of the bmp (16, 24, and 32 bits). Same result. I've tried testing with a single-color bmp (only the RGB 117,117,47 color). Same result. I've tried dragging the _veg and _zombiespawn files into the window. Same result. (If someone resolved the problem from 2023 could they note the fix on the post pls? Tx.)

Your issue is your naming convention is incorrect, If your base image is to be called cavanaugh_base.BMP then your veg map would need to be called cavanaugh_base_veg.BMP, which is confusing, if you just remove the "_base" bit from your base image name then everything should work.
