what else is there to do in the future once fortified and barricaed ?

reading (we have that)

but what about

sports (jumprope, weights, etc.)

painting (palette, easel, paintbrushes)

woodcarving

I wondered what needs to be done to link new items (e.g. jumprope)

to an activity (like "working out") that improves happiness, reduces stress / boredom while also

increasing fatigue...??

can someone shed some light on that ?

thx in advance

Surely:

- Item scripts

- Custom UI / Menu entries

- Custom Timed Actions

Possibly:

- New Animations

- Possibly some stuff on the java side of the game

There aren't really any tutorials in Timed Actions and UI (except for this one http://pz-mods.net/guide/how-to-create-inventory-context-menus/ but it has been quite a while since I've written that one).

So the best strategy would be to lurk throught the source code or other mods to figure out how it works. The Timed Actions are pretty much straight forward. The UI - especially the inventory ui - are a bit more complicated.

the lurking through code is actually the hardest part since I cannot code to save my life...

Oh okay, that's a bad trait when trying to mod haha ^^

Then I'd recommend reading through this first:

http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/

this is also a good place to start:

http://lua.gts-stolberg.de/en/index.php

I doubt that reading through the source will tell you much without any prior knowledge about lua and coding.

indeed. I started to work thorugh the link you provided and simply gave up:-)

might be a bit too much for me .

I think I might have to stick with new items and recipes for now.

and maybe start to create a map :-)
