Self Hosted Server VAC Secure but not responding through game

I have followed the instructions on the wiki: https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Dedicated_Server#Connecting_to_the_Server and in this youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ7WAQ659xc&t=794s

They seem to get the server up and running appropriately as I can see in my terminal line the confirmation message "LOG : Network , 1681668651407> 61,163,800 [16-04-23 14:10:51.407] > ZNet: Zomboid Server is VAC Secure"

This means that the server is hosted and running on my dedicated pc correct? Have i done the port forwarding wrong? here is how I have it setup, is there anyway I can check if its wrong or what changes I have to make to it?
https://imgur.com/2VmtBLq The valheim one is forwarded to x.x.x.107 because that was the IP at the time of setup and i can still login to that server when I launch it. I have tried the Project Zomboid ports to the ip that shows up when i do ip addr which is the x.x.x.108 and to 107 but still the same results in not being able to connect

Any help is much appreciated, this is only the 2nd game I have tried to run dedicated server on so pretty new to this stuff.

Can you share the "Server" and "Logs" folders found in Home/Zomboid folder where you host the server on? Additionally, can you share a screenshot on how you filled out the server info when trying to connect to it?

Hello Thank you for Quick Response,

Here is Google Drive link with both folders copied: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hajNVy4SokAV3YSiKTpvZRWvbwQgspv6?usp=sharing

Here is the latest attempt to connect to my server, I'd like to note I have tried matching both IP and local IP with both the ip's shown there, I have also tried swapping them so in total 4 combinations of attempt with IP. I am attempting to connect from a different pc which the hosting is happening on but on the same network: https://imgur.com/j35jnLa. I have tried connecting to port 16262 also, and I have tried to search for it through the steam server browser thing pictured here also tried this method with the 2 ip's and ports: https://imgur.com/awD6GA4

Thanks, from what I can tell the server itself is correctly set up, meaning the issue may be with the network configuration itself. Do you perhaps have any firewall on your server machine that may be blocking the server? Both 16261 and 16262 UDP ports need to be opened, not TCP as is default usually.

Additionally, if your second PC is a windows machine, you may need to make sure that your network is set as "pritvate" instead of "public", since that would prevent connection to local PCs

Lastly, I would for now recommend testing the connection by just filling out the Local IP of the server to the "IP" tab, while keeping the Local IP tab empty, since this would try to connect you directly through the local network to the server.

Oh my goodness, I think it was the firewall on the hosted PC, I opened the ports with the ubuntu terminal and was able to connect by putting my local ip in the ip as you said.

Before i celebrate too quickly for my friends to join who are not in my local network they should fill the in game window out like this? : https://imgur.com/igTWM6r

or shou
ld they fill it out the same way I did to connect leaving the "Local IP" blank, pretty sure they need to put the 73.4.24.40 in the "IP" box.

Thank you so much for the help so far!

Your friends would need to use the 73.4.24.40 IP in the IP tab, as that is your public IP. Then the Local IP tab should be empty, since they are not on your local network, so it is not necessary. The rest looks fine in the screenshot.
