Aru
• Version: 41.65 • Multiplayer • Ddedicated : Linux • No mods I found ProjectZomboid64.json doesn't work on my Linux server. Setting -Xmx4g did not limit ram usage. I also tried the command: ./start-server.sh -Xmx4G, but the log message printed "unknown option -Xmx4G.". Executing 41.65 ProjectZomboid64 consumed almost 16G ram of my server!! Does ProjectZomboid64 not support the limitation of ram usage on Linux now? Beard
It should work fine, can you send the .json file to see if it is set up properly?
Aru
Here the .json file, thanks. ProjectZomboid64.json
Beard
The .json looks fine, does the server go way above the RAM usage? Generally it can go up to 5GB with 4GB assigned roughly.
Aru
My linux server(16G RAM) uses about 3~4G RAM without running ProjectZomboid64. But after running it for a while (5~9 players) , the whole usage will slowly go up to 15G. Then ProjectZomboid64 crashed with "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" error message. Beard
Unusual, an you share your logs.zip file found in the Home/Zomboid folder?
Aru
Logs.zip Logs\ logs_05-01\ logs_06-01\ logs_07-01\
Beard
This would be the wrong file, I will need the "logs.zip" file, and not a zip of the Logs folder. Additionally, can you share your startserver.sh file? So I can check if that one is correct as well. Lastly, 4 GB is definitely not enough for the amount of players you have, for about 10 players I recommend about 8GB
Aru
start-server.sh Here the start-server.sh file. I didn't see logs.zip file in the Zomboid folder . 18 minutes ago, Beard said: Lastly, 4 GB is definitely not enough for the amount of players you have, for about 10 players I recommend about 8GB OK, I will try, thanks.
