Making salad when standing next to fridge (random vegetables)

I'd just like to report a bug where I was standing next to a fridge, I clicked the bowl in my inventory and chose the option "create salad with random vegetables". My character took a vegetable out of the fridge but never added it to the bowl because the vegetable went straight to "rotten". Then I tried to remove the vegetable from the fridge first and I was able to make salad with it as it stayed cool and (fresh). So the vegetable shouldn't have rotten straight away. In the fridge it still had the "fresh" state the whole time.
