Fix for Metal Drums crashing during rain

Hello all, not sure if anyone else has fixed this yet but just wanted to post a fix I found for the metal drum/rain crash. Quick disclaimer, I don't know much about coding at all but found that the only suggestion from a 3 year old post on reddit to fix this was to delete the file and I wasn't satisfied with that so I decided to try and figure it out on my own.

 

Here is the debug crash:

 

My fix is to simply open the file in ProjectZomboid/media/lua/server/MetalDrum/SMetalDrumGlobalObject.lua, navigate to line 192, and change self.watermax to ISMetalDrum.waterMax so that it looks like this:

 

 

Hope this helps people using modded maps or mods with metal drums!
