Random spawns

Is there a way to disable this? I want to play with my friends, but whenever I host a server, and make a character, I spawn in the same old house, while my friend receives a random spawn.

Furthermore, I should add. Instead of creating multiple topics, I'll ask here. There is a PZserversettings in my install dir, but I can't figure out where, and how to save it. When I select a directory to save the settings in, it just blinks the window and does nothing.
