Hi, I wanna introduce our new game which we were working on for the past 1,5 year. This is Tormentum, surreal adventure game for PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, developed with Adobe Air and Flash. The main protagonist, that the player takes control over, doesn't remember his name nor the place where he came from. Visiting new lands, he slowly starts to uncover the truth about himself. The dreamlike atmosphere featured in the game was inspired by the works of a Polish painter, Zdzislaw Beksinski, and a recently deceased Swiss painter, H.R.Giger, among others. Unfortunately, bigger problems seem to arise. The flying ship lands in a big castle and the main hero is soon imprisoned in it. This is how this surreal story from the border of dream and reality begins... Traversing different areas the hero learns the dark world in which he was imprisoned. Visiting new lands, he slowly starts to uncover the truth about himself. Any criticism or feedback is super welcome Ps. Hi guys! My name is Joni Kuusisto and I work at Rockodile Games. We have a new game out now and we would really appreciate it if you guys could check it out. The game is called Rescue Co. and it's a space themed sidescroller with a physics engine. The game is F2P with an IAP system. You swipe the character on the screen trying to navigate through rough terrain while staying in the safe zone. You save passengers from crashed spaceships and try to collect ScrapMetal that works as the currency. You can upgrade various aspects of your character in order to progress faster. You may only dream about work on your project, lying on the sunshine on the islands in the ocean, or you can buy tickets and make the dreams came true. This summer, our team goes to Bali to finish the game. A few words about the project Slashear is an adventure/platformer with unusual mechanics. The plot revolves around a brave boy who gets into wild adventures. During the game, our hero finds himself in different worlds, inhabited by weird creatures. You will have to deal with battles with dangerous enemies and saving the universe. The game is done in a cartoon style with bright, detailed characters. The player is a part of this cartoon, with the ability to influence the storyline! About development We've been working on the game for about a year, during which time we've written the engine and finalised the game style. To finish the game we need a small tug to bring together all the concepts and developments. So we've moved to Bali for 2 months in order to focus on development. We have rented a house there and started to work. Another reason for moving in Bali is our love for surfing and the cheap rent for the apartment. We are a small team of people who love their job and happy to share interesting working moments. Life on the island is very unusual, and especially the game development in such conditions! We want to share with you this. Therefore, we will be blogging, taking photos and video reports on the development of the island.
