Hello Xeonyx. I'm not at my computer in which I do my editing so I hope this isn't inaccurate. It sounds to me like you need to, after you've dragged the images on to the cells, convert them to TMX. To do this go to File -> BMP to TMX -> All Cells. I really hope this helps and if not let me know and I'll continue to try and help.
