So far, I've tried to recreate the bug in a full vanilla server, but it doesn't seem to appear again so it might just be a mod issue

I was using a modded map (Chestown). However, the corruption seems to start near the entrance of Riverside up to the river so half of the vanilla map is missing. I am not sure if its an issue with the mods (which of course you wouldn't be able to help with) or a world generation bug.

Infinite trees engulf half of the map. The bug manifests with a straight line of trees near Riverside that never ends. It could be a corruption of the map due to some mod, but it could also be just a vanilla malfunction.
