Illiterate character trait is NOT activated, all attempts at reading a skill book are done by reading "for beginners" skill books.
When attempting to read a beginners skill book, the bar icon above the characters head will begin to fill.
After a very short amount of time the bar will reset to empty, this will then continue indefinitely, this was tested by fast forwarding time in game.
After this, when hovering over the book in the character's inventory, it seems always to be stuck at "28/220 pages".
All other forms of entertainment work as normal, for example, Books, Magazines, and newspapers
