  1. Sure thing boss! Any help is appreciated as it is a big task, lol. With work and all things familywise I'd love the help. Im in the process of fixing details and what not in the map and figuring out this and that within WorldEd. Im also looking into some pics and images of chernaurus and hopefully make it a world that looks like a zombie apocalypse. Then there are other things like, spawnmaps, loot and other major details I'd need to look into. So, any buildings that people make and would like me to add to Cherno would be wonderful. I'll be AFK for a bit but I will check in later today. Have a great day.
  2. Thank you. There's still a lot of work left with making buildings to accompany the world of cherno and also the detailing. I m in the process of gathering information, pictures, etc... to detail the world and give it that zombie apocalypse feel to the world. Only downsides are its a flat world. But all in due time whenever that happens I'll be converting the whole of cherno and then it'll be way more amazing. Right now I'm basically going to edit the world in the WorldEd and do any touching up and adding buildings that I create and details and such. It's a lot of work but I think it will turn out great. Anyone who can make buildings are welcome to help, just make some buildings! :cool:

  4. Ok, quick question. Is it possible to make your own tiles in-game? I would like to know, if there is ny possibility for this. For example, I want to create my own walls, roofs, accents and other things. To be able to suit the style of buildings I'm going for. But I don't know where to start. what size do the tiles need to be, what program can be used, how would the tiles be recognized as stairs, or a door or whatnot. Can I import other tiles from regular pngs. If anyone has any idea please let me know. I'd like to create some tiles. If at all possible.

  7. Project Chernaurus Buildings and such will be posted here from now on. Hope you all enjoy. Map is complete (minus buildings and such.) There are placeholder tiles for where buildings will be placed. The map size is 6000px x 6000px. It's a huge map.Buildings and whatnot are what's left (basically everything) to make it a real fun map to get immersed in!! Update: 2/11/2014 Chernogorsk I am currently constructing the city of Cherno, with the help of Maklane, I have a couple buildings to get started, while making my own buildings for the world. If I do use other members buildings I will be sure to credit those as well. Hopefully won't take too long and I will post pictures of the progress. Thank y'all for visiting! Update: 2/24/2014 Getting more buildings created, been a bit busy with life, but still building on my off days and whenever I have a chance to work on them. Learned a bit about custom tiles, might have my own tiles made for the castles, from some examples I've seen online. Also will be making cracked, peeled walls, a more run down look for Chernarus. New roof tiles and so on. dead body tiles and other miscellaneous tiles for atmosphere. Update: 5/4/2014 Project Chernaurus will be suspended until further notice. (Due to a busy work schedule). I am very happy with the work I've been putting in to make it the best fun map to play on so hopefully I'll get back to it and get it up and running so all can enjoy in the near future. I've been out a while and haven't really updated anything but before the busy weeks I finished placing buildings in Chernogorsk and most of the map is finished. I had some random close calls with TILEZED almost failing and causing memory issues. I guess the map has so many nooks and crannies to explore which made it bigger and more memory intensive but all that is really left is touch ups and things of that nature. So even though I've finished all the easy work now is where the HARD WORK begins and where I will leave it for the time being until I have more time to myself and my hobby as opposed to WORK, FAMILY and SCHOOL. I'm sorry about the bad news!! I will be out of contact with this forum for a while, but will randomly visit the website whenever I have a chance!! Again so sorry for the news!!   8. rreason I ask is when I first went into the map editor. I tried adding a road once but nothing would appear so its a question of what layer can I paint on and what tools should be used to paint onto the map. It appears as If whenever I paint either on the topmost or middle or under the floor layer nothing appears. Noob, I know. And when placing buildings sometimes I want to add some asphalt or other under the building, you know as a noob trying out the tools. Hopefully I get cracking at it to build some of the buildings I have setup already, but for the life of me I dont understand the roofing.LOL. Im still very new to this. But i appreciate any tips. Thanks guys.
  9. Is there a way to edit them in tilezed after designing the map to account for any sizing error? I mean can I add to the road tile or take away from as designing the map can be time consuming
  10. Thanks guys. Also when I get it finished what are the possibilities of getting some help with buildings? Anyone willing...? Also Ive seen some of the main highway roads in the muldraugh map and they seem to be around 14 px and aome normal street roads around 3 - 8 px. I used the ruler in PS. Could be my mistake though
  11. So I've been seeing some of the recent maps being made and it motivated me to make this huge map. Still don't really know the dimensions or if it will even turn out right in the map editor when done. It's the map based on the game Arma II or DAYZ standalone. Still, since you can't really use your own maps in game I guess it's pointless until that day comes. Also just waiting until we get the ability to make curved roads and that sort of thing but during this time I'd thought I'd show what the potential may be. Hopefully if things do go in that direction I'd probably start from scratch. LOL. Anyways just wanted to show this and if anyone could help me out with dimensions and pixels and how big roads should be compared to dirt roads and building sizes and so forth. I'd appreciate some tips. Will be making some cool buildings once I get the hang of the map editor, hopefully. Update: This map is HUGE. updated the map a bit today.
