  1. That may make things more difficult. In the case that the file does not exist, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details of the crash in the Reliability monitor? Here are some good guides for it: https://www.howtogeek.com/school/using-windows-admin-tools-like-a-pro/lesson3/ https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/sk-sk/000178177/how-to-use-windows-reliability-monitor-to-identify-software-issues
  2. Are you sure you bough the game from Steam?
  3. These seem to be the logs from the server, correct? Are you hosting the server on a different PC than the one you are playing from? Can you share the logs from the PC that you are connecting from as well? Since these sever logs look totally fine at the moment.
  4. It looks like as if there would be some missing files which cause it to fail. In which case, can you try doing a full game reinstall? First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  5. That would be unlikely, since the main important file would be "hs_err_pid" which gets removed at uninstall. If it does happen again then just send the same requested files and we can have a look.
  6. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid? And can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid” as well?
  7. There was no such update no. I assume you may just be noticing the zombies as such in clusters instead of the game specifically only creating groups and nothing else. It may also just be forced by a mod, if you have any enabled.
  8. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  9. This depends on your game settings, you can change the spread and cluster rate in the advanced settings. Also depends on your overall population, there wont be zombies spread around if there are not many zombies to go around.
  10. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid? And can you explain how you installed the server and how you are starting it? Just to make sure there are no issues there.
  11. Can you perhaps share a recording of you trying to click on the objects? Does the right click work on any other tile except the specified object? This is to make sure that it is not a mouse issue.
  12. Startup time is mostly affected by the hard drive speed (SSD recommended), the CPU speed and the amount of scripts and items loaded (mods) It can also be affected by the RAM, if for some reason you run out of RAM and need to tap into the SWAP memory, it will take a massive amount of time to load.
  13. Try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file. In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false Then try launching the game again.

    console error

The error seems to be related to a misconfiguration of the map / spawn regions. Did you perhaps delete the main Muldraugh map from your map list? As that map should always be enabled.
  15. Yes, the IP would have to be your Local IP of the PC you are forwarding the ports to, and where the server would be hosted. The internal and external port should be the same as well, so 16261 and 16261 again for example.
  16. Here is a generic guide for it: https://www.noip.com/support/knowledgebase/general-port-forwarding-guide You need to fill out the 16261 and 16262 ports in the rule that you have in your screenshot.
  17. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  18. Hm, seems like everything is mostly correct, except the amount of random mod errors that I would prefer were not there. I would recommend going to the Zomboid folder and deleting the "mods" folder there. If it still fails, are you perhaps opted into any Betas for the game? You should be opted out of all of them for this specific version. Meaning you should be on the "none" beta.
  19. They would have course be using your public IP, because they are not on your network. If you still fail to connect to the server, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  20. You are hosting this on your own PC right? In that case, I would recommend you put the Private IP in the "IP" tab instead of your public one, as sometimes using the public one instead may cause issues if you are hosting the server yourself. https://whatismyipaddress.com/private-ip
  21. Make sure you are launching the server through the StartServer64.bat file and not through the Steam client.
  22. I would recommend you create a new thread and provide more information about the issue, as the other user provided way more info in Discord as well, where the first post was created.
  23. Your PC is below the minimum requirements as stated on the Steam page: I can only recommend switching to the older "Legacy" game versions by going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Betas > Select the Legacy 40 or older versions.
  24. There are an absolute ton of mod errors, so I would recommend whoever is hosting the server to check the mod compatibility. Other than that, there seems to be a spawn issue, as if the spawn regions were deleted. So likely the host has an issue in the server settings where the spawn regions setting is empty. So I recommend checking the Spawn Regions settings as well to make sure that it is not empty.
  25. Go to your Admin menu on the left side when you get admin access > Show Server Settings > Scroll down to the bottom > Set Type12Anticheat to False
