  1. I check external IP each time before I send him the info. We are both on V32.16. Shouldn't setting a static IP make it so my internal network IP never changes? Maybe clarify what you mean by internal network IP. I set up a static IP for my computer on my local network. I was unaware you could arrange a static IP with your ISP, I'm assuming this makes it so the external IP never changes? I believe my friend sees a connection refused message when he tries to connect, but I will test and verify with him when he wakes up. I do not see his connection attempts in the server log. I have no problem connecting to my own server using the external IP.
  2. So I played for a couple days in a row with a friend of mine, we were just starting to get into base building leveling our construction skills and such when we went to bed one night and tried to start up the server the next morning it wouldn't let him connect to me anymore. We decided to just give the game a break and try again the next day but it's been two weeks now and we just can't play together anymore? My ports were forwarded fine before but now they are apparently "closed". I have set up a static IP and I am 99% sure I have my ports forwarded correctly because it was working fine with this exact setup just two weeks earlier. Hoping someone out there has had a similar experience and can help me fix it because this game is a lot of fun and I would love to continue exploring it. I have also tried running the server with the DMZ mode turned on my router and my buddy still can't connect. On one of the port checker sites I use it changed the project zomboid port from being "closed" to being "stealth" but still no luck on the connection.
