Discussion on multiplayer melee coop actions

Add melee weapons and actions that would allow one player to stunlock a zombie without being able to kill it, but making the kill much easier for another player to do a fast clean kill. This ability could be of varied usability depending on zombie settings. It could be highly usable against stronger zombies if better melee gear is hard to find.

 

Examples of gear - gardening forks, improvised forked spear or trident. Normal char sticks it into zombie and gets himself and zombie locked in animation. Every second minor odds of zombie breaking free or being knocked on the ground and reliably fixated. Anyone attacking the zombie has extreme high chances of OHK. Strong/weak characters strongly influence chances of a standing tie switching to either free zombie or completely  fixed zombie.

 

Chair, legs front - same, but easier to find, closer combat. This item alone brings question about items that can't be carried in inventory, but only in hands unless dropped.

 

Reusable lassos/bolas for ranged KD attempts. (bolas easier to code) And yep, thrown net/garments goes here too.

Guideline for all these items is that they should be easier to get and more durable to maintain than decent weapons, but not useful or practical for single player to do both stuns and finishes alone. Likely by the endgame skilled characters would all switch to damage dealing, but before that happens - these items could prove initially usable.

Asking anyone who cared to read this to understand that it's just an idea to help creative thinking and that it's unlikely to be implemented tomorrow (heh) but might lead to some inspiration. So feel free to comment on it, want to see ideas.
