Most welcome. Happy to help. ☺️🙏 Sorry about that. Had to temporarily disable keyboard input with Gamepad connected. It was a bit of a spaghetti bowl with input code scattered all over the place. With split-screen mode, Keyboard input was messing with Gamepad player and vice versa. 😅 The input handling code has had a thorough re-work and is in a much cleaner state. Keyboard+Gamepad combined input is coming back soon.☺️ Meanwhile, the ZoomIn/Out button bindings have been added and are now available in Gamepad customization UI. Go to Game Options -> Controller In this screenshot, I bound the LeftBump and RightBump to ZoomOut/In Oh yes indeed. Hoping to add support for all the buttons the hardware has. It's just a matter of dedicating engineer time to wire it up and add it to the new input system. Hoping to do that in the near future. Watch this space. ☺️

Okay I was wondering what if this game becomes so big you could outright make a live action movie out of it?! I mean think about it, Project Zomboid: The Movie! Imagine the game but from a cinematic portrayal! Instead of having some guy messing around with his 3d modeled character fighting zombies, it's an actor! An actor that would act out all these things you can do in the game! Doing donuts in your car to knock down the undead, lighting them on fire and leading them around in a horde to burn themselves to ash, scared neighbors banding together to kill the zombified ones. Also lore based scenarios like that mother's son biting into her neck, could play out as well. There's all kinds of scenarios that would be familiar yet play so different cinematically rather than gameplay wise and it'd be sick! Now I know this would be complicated due to the complexity of the project as well as the budget needed. Plus the IP would probably have to be put into some other people's hands as well to make the movie. But I think this could turn out really well! Now the question remains would be the selling point of the movie to make it stand out from other zombie movies? Well it would focus on methods for killing the zombies mainly like the ones I mentioned above. Yeah there'd definitely be some exposition for how the Knox Event came to be and some characterization of the survivors but it'd definitely focus on all these things you can do in the game in the movie. All those moments of dealing with zombies leaping out of closets, all those mass burnings of them, all those raiding building after building and who could forget the helicopter event?! Heck seeing the characters make a base on screen would be awesome! So how would it all end? Well that's actually kind of complicated because while the game says "This is how you died." that applies to your character. It doesn't say the ultimate fate of humanity. Yeah I know about the "These are the end times." "There was no chance of survival." phrases the come before the last one but I think those might not quite spell out humanity's fate as a whole either. "There was no chance of survival" could just pertain to your character as opposed to humanity as a whole. "These are the end times." could just mean the apocalypse as opposed to extinction. So I'm not sure how this movie should end exactly since I'm sure how the game for humanity ends exactly. I guess all I can say for sure is the protagonist of the main cast dies or even the whole cast. Humanity at large, I don't know. But anyways, who's up for seeing Project Zomboid on the big screen it addition to your computer screen?! -

Okay so what do you think of this? I suggested this on another topic that there'd be in-game photo of kids you know photos of character models of kids in the PZ world? They'd be part of the story. Like kids pointing at the troops and asking the parents what's going on and what are they doing, Kids running away from zombies. Kids being zombies. Kid zombies being killed by adults or other kids. I think this could have even more impactful lore on the game without introducing killable zombie kids in the gameplay instead of just having playgrounds around and mentions of kids on the radio. I don't think this would violate the "No" list of having no killable zombie kids in the game because it's just pictures. Yet it would havefer more storytelling and make the kids that are technically in the background lore feel more real instead of like I said, playgrounds and toys in the game environment. I already kind of mentioned this stuff on the actual topic but I'm listing it here too since we're on the topic of kids in the game. -
