Did you use "Common Sense" MOD? if yes, try to disable that.

From the pictures you posted, just to make sure a few of things: Did you use right click to item in inventory and use place button to put the fishing net into the water? Did you use right click to water and use set trap(or something like that) button to set the trap? If 1, then you are just putting the fishing net as an item on the floor If 2, then the fishing net seems to be broken, maybe you can try to stand beside it and try to open ground inventory to take it?

[B42.7.0 rev:28118 2025-04-07 Steam] I died after 2 and a half months. after creating a new char i got back to my main base wating to experiment a little more with faster xp gain and stuff while everything was prepared.  i found all containers of water (buckets, cans, raincollector and so on) being empty which was kind of a mess for my remaining plants =(.  So i decited to go to the near natural water source and save my plants by carring the water back. Sadly none of the containers, except for water bottles was working.  i cant fill them and even the rain wont. For buildable containers like the water collector i explored that repositioning did the trick an i could use them again, sadly that are the only containers working atm.
