Tracyn Kyrayc
Hello everyone. I started a server ten days ago, with some friends. We were no more than 4 or 5 players on it, at first. The server grew larger, now we are around 15. Today we were 10 on the server. The problem is, we now have a high ping (around 2000ms, sometimes more) and we can't really figure out why because we just moved the server on a better machine. I read on the forum (I think it was there : http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/9790-server-optimization-what-performance-can-i-expect/ ) that it may be lagging because players were spread on the map and they were all loading cells simultaneously. The ping was indeed very low when we were all grouped in the same place, but we no longer want to play this way, we started some roleplay. The serv is running on a laptop, here are the specs :6GB RAM (4GB assigned to PZ)Intel Core i5-3230M CPU 2.6GHz30 Mb connectionOS : Windows server 2008 R2 Standard 64 bits How can we improve our ping ? It's unplayable right now, zombies are disappearing then randomly coming back, they teleport on us. Thanks for your help EDIT : Our server works like a charm, now. It's seems that the problem came from the ApCom radio mod : http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/8943-apcom-ham-radios-walkie-talkies-spmp/I wanted to delete the topic since it is now useless, but it seems there is no option in the editor for me do to so Edited June 1, 2015 by Tracyn Kyrayc
