[How to run a Server]

 

 

 

 

Trying to run a server and Noticed i dont have the projectzomboidserver.bat file

 

Installed on 2 machines running windows 7 and 8.1

 

i downloaded a bat file off of the web and when i run it it says this

 

 

H:\Videogames\SteamApps\common\ProjectZomboid>".\jre\bin\java.exe" -Xms1024m -Xm

x1024m -Djava.library.path=./ -cp lwjgl.jar;lwjgl_util.jar;sqlitejdbc-v056.jar;.

/ zombie.network.GameServer

Error: Main method not found in class zombie.network.GameServer, please define t

he main method as:

   public static void main(String[] args)

This might sound stupid, however I'll say it. Are you actually in the onlinetest branch for Steam?

 

LOL i was just coming here to update that that was what was wrong. I didn't have it in the onlinetest mode that was my problem. My new problem is i can connect locally but cant seem to connect via online IP or my DynDns server address which works for both minecraft and starbound just fine

 

 

Probably has something to do with the port forwarding. Make sure you've done it correctly, usually things firewalls etc.

 

I got it to work its strange i got my friends to join it using my DYN address. I just cant connect to it using global IP i have to use local so the only way to test was to get someone else  to connect to verify it was working. Not sure if its a bug or what but what ever it works. i connect via local ip and others connect via my host address. Why i cant connect via my ISP's ip is strange and makes it hard to test but what ever.
