Huh, that's weird. The Steam version of PZ is unfortunately rather buggy right now, so you may just want to stick to the Desura version for the time being. We're kinda in that weird transition phase of having just moved over to Steam, so we haven't gotten a stable build up there yet. It's really just a very rough testing build.

 

You might try grabbing a screenshot when the console flashes, though.

Can you tell us what exactly happens when you hit "play"? Can you tell us what comes up in the console when the game fails to open? Computer specs would help a lot, too.

Processor: AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon9tm0 HD Graphics 1.90 GHz

8 GB RAM

When I click on the game, the console comes up for less than a second, then closes, giving me no time to read what comes up on the console. Steam says I am playing the game for a few seconds, about 1 or 2 seconds then stops.

I had gotten and activated my steam key for Project Zomboid, installed it, but it just won't start. I then uninstalled, then re-installed it, but still no luck. Is there something I need to do first or what?
