Zombie Webcomics

Its not quite zombies and more rage infected super crazies but the Crossed web comic is pretty intense. Its very NSFW however. To be honest its very don't read because it will scar your soul. I'm not sure what the web acronym for that is.

(DRBIWSYS ?)

I love that one. It could easily have been turned in plain torture porn with all the infected torture-rape-murderers running around, but it's actually an intelligently written comic. If you can make it past the dolphin, that is (caused me to stop reading for 2 months or so, poor Flipper.)

But yeah, horrible stuff indeed.

  • 4 weeks later...

I feel like I'm stalking you Johnny...

However, I love the comic. Not much of a comic person but I'm on chapter 2 of TZH and can see myself following it now until I get to the latest chapter.

I feel like I stalk you too...

Yeah, I',m not much of a comic person, but I do enjoy a small read... Or a bigger one...

Oh man, romantically apocalyptic is the best.

No matter what kind of webcomic-reader you are you should give it a chance, 'cause it will surprise you. Not only is the storytelling and humor brilliant, but the way it's made is just so damn interesting, too, it's like the creators are continuously thinking of new, interesting ways to tell the story. Oh, and don't skip the journals below the comic - they're a huge part of the experience.

I read a lot of webcomics but I can't really think of any to add here. Hmm...

Can we suggest non-apocalyptic comics as well? There are so many superb non-zombie webcomics out there and I would love to share them with you! :)

To be honest its very don't read because it will scar your soul.

I clicked the link, before reading this... Now I'm a nervous wrack, really. Maybe you could put it in a spoiler, so people are more likely to read the warning first?

With all due respect, you have to click past several "Do you confirm you really want to read this nasty shit?" warnings, before you even see anything in the way of shocking. The problem seems to be more in the way of premature clicking on your side, than anything else/

Yeah, sorry, you're right about that.

I just didn't take These warnings seriously, and after reading it, my brain couldn't think clear for a while.

I forgot this great apocalyptic scandinavian webcomic:

So far there hasn't happened much, but it's all about society, after an apocalyptic virus has killed or transformed people and animals into monsters. A group of soldiers are sent into the silent world to retrive ancient artifacts from the old, lost civilization.

Its very nicely drawn and I like the style but man it's dull. Maybe I've been reading too much apocalyptic rape cannibal serial killer zombie comics.

Valve did a Left for Dead Comic for their game thats worth a look. Interesting style and slightly silly.

LOL, I actually can relate. Those warnings are everywhere, and I must admit I unsuspectingly click-stumbled into it too the first time. Something like "If you click this you will be hit by a torture-rape-murder-freight-train." might have been more clear

That said, it's a very good comic, that only utilizes the extreme violence as a backdrop. It becomes less graphic further on, The violence in the first chapters in mainly there to paint the picture of the world the characters live in: A hellhole that makes something like TWD universe look like an adventurous vacation.

I've just found an online version of a comic that everyone should read. You can find it here.

Just to warn people that it is graphic violence and does have strange sex moments but not even close to the obscene level of my previous recommendation (that contained psychopathic cannibal rape zombies). Its still NSFW because of all the body parts being severed.

This one is a manga and whilst I usually HATE manga (usually because of all that big eye teardrop shit) this is top class. Seriously read it. Frank Miller said that this inspired him and Sam Mendes based Road to Perdition on it as well. Its also been made into several (awful) movies. Also there's a lot of it - 28 chapters to be precise so hopefully that'll keep you guys/gals entertained for a while.

Thanks for sharing! I've started a reading-marathon and haven't read half of it so far! XD

The parts where Diagoro is on his own are my favourite parts. He's a real samurai unlike his father, that moron. I've got the feeling that Diagoro learns how to handle betrayal and murder, without completely living in Mu.

Here's another one.

Warning: occasionally very bloody and gory, no-one is save, even children!

It might be a bit annoying in the beginning, keep reading past chapter 3 to get onto the hook.

Oh yeah Daigoro is seriously cool and there are many moments where people allude to his shishogan (translates as swordsman's eyes but really means that he's completely used to death and killing).

To be honest the really cool one in the stories is the villain Retsudo who IMO ranks just one step above Darth Vader and Wolverine in my list of fictional characters I really wouldn't want to f#*k with. You don't see very much of him in the first 10-12 books but he does appear more and more in the later books. He's kind of like a cross between Cardinal Richelieu from Dumas' Three Musketeers (ie is very intriguey) and Mumrah from Thundercats (in that he always squares up to the hero Mano a Mano and people make the mistake that he's an old fart).
