Genius Idea!

How about being able to pile the dead bodies and burn them to get rid of some corpses. The ability to start a little bonfire would clean up some of the bodies. I am going on a month and a half and I am knee deep in the dead here. And please, add a protection rating to clothing or consider some homemade armor. All it takes is one swift bite to end it and a little protection would be great. And one more thing, it seems like there are so many factors already to survival, but a big one not in the game is having to use the bathroom. If you added it, and were able to dig a latrine would add alot more depth to the game. All these toilets are only good for some water when the water is cut out. (Toilet bowl water + ramen noodles = +3 delicious) Anyway, keep up the great work, guys. I love the game and look forward to it getting only better. Good job on the build 27, it makes a huge difference seeing supplies on a shelf.

corpses can be moved, so at least you can clean up your front lawn. All the other ideas you mentioned have already been flagged down/up. I'm sure you meant well but you should read those posts that say "[read before posting]", before posting.

I guess there are some cool suggestions though..

but I think theirs a thread somewhere in the forums that tell you what they are going to add and not add or maybe.

I personal hope is that they add amputation.

Although I don't know how it would work in combat though like..

Sledgehammers and the "Equip in both hands" for full effect,

Maybe if they still had the "Equip in both hands" It would be red text and it would be another option to hold it in the other hand instead.

Project Zomboid needs to go in more depth with the characters other than that it's a great game for alpha.

Just feel that the character creation and development for the characters is a bit dry.

I just use a house near my base. Unloading them there seems to do the trick for me, haha. :P

Indeed it does! I go around taking all bodies on my block and putting them inside the houses and one at the door so i know its looted.

What if they re-animate? Oh boy, I have my shotgun ready!

That would be bad, i have build walls around this whole block to the trees with high zombies on. If they came back i wouldn't have enough shells. here is the location

I have 4 boxes of shells, sawed-off should do the trick, maybe? I seem to have luck whenever I carry Spiffo.

Yes that would do, i have less than a box  . Though i thought sawed-offs were broken in game? last time i used one i nearly died because they didn't.

Yes, I am sure they are flagged and have been mentioned but I am not going to pour through hundreds of threads just to see if someone has thought of this. I thought it was a good idea and wanted to share it. Sorry if it doesnt fit the damn forum protocol. Seems alot of other peeps like it too. I know you can move bodies, pileing them into a house or elsewhere is tedious and a little boring. It would be alot easier to pile bodies and burn them.

I think if they add the ability to burn corpses, we should have to craft a cremation pit, kind of like making a campfire. I don't know much about programming but if you could give it the same properties as a camp fire (add fuel, light fire, and an inventory to drag the corpse like you would drag food into the campfire to cook it) then maybe we may be able to burn bodies.

I actually prefer the company of rotting corpses

^This guy knows whats up!  My safe houses are like my streets, body littered and gore covered.  It just wouldn't feel like home if everything was tidy.  I like people to know whats up when they roam by my house. :D

I think mostly what the game needs are more crafting options. There are a ton of items that sit unused because there isnt any use for them. Maybe some different enemy types and hostile npcs which i am sure will be added when regular npcs are added. There just needs to be more to surviving in this game than stockpiling and killing zombies. Maybe zombies that can break barricaded doors and windows in a matter of seconds. For me, once I level up the blunt skill a few times, I lay waste to zombies and there isnt really any more challenge as far as combat. The most challenging part of the game is starting out. Before a hammer and nails are found, its very challenging. Once you have a secure safehouse and food, the challenge lessens a lot. I think there shouldnt be any safe place no matter how well you barricade. Waking up in the middle of the night to a massive zombie that just broke the last line of defense would be awesome. I dont suggest making new players fight the more advanced zombies but it stands to reason that zombies would somehow evolve after a period of time to get at the humans that have survived the initial zombie apocalypse. Making the world dynamic based on what areas of the map you frequent, how many zombies killed and the level of your character would add a lot more depth. Maybe clearing one area of zombies leads to possibly hostile npcs moving in to take advantage of the work you have done. There are hundreds of possibilities and I know the devs are reluctant to keep the game in beta so they can add all this stuff. Hopefully, when the game releases fully, they make enough to keep the content flowing. My suggestions are in no way complaints and I love the game and the awesome work that has been done so far. If they never added another thing, I would be happy with how much enjoyment I have gotten so far.

I would love the ability to burn corpses, I have actually looked into modding this in, however I am having quite the spot of difficulty with that so far. Anyone have an idea of an approach that might be viable?

Maybe build a bonfire much like a campfire kit then add the corpses like fuel to a campfire. Just change the graphic for the bonfire for every several bodies added. Then when the "fuel" is gone, the bonfire is removed and a scorched mark remains for several days.

Also with the craftable bonfire, standing close to the burning bodies could give a queasy moodle, burning fat and hair can smell rancid. This also could tie in with another previous suggestion of protective clothing/mask for handling the bodies.

Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. The smell of rancid flesh burning would make you sick if you were too close. The protective mask would come in handy too if zombies spread infection in much the same way as the infected in 28 Days Later. As I mentioned, the passage of time in the game allows for more zombie types to evolve. Zombies that can tackle and spew infectious material all over you would defenitly be a nice addition. Even if the zombies dont somehow evolve it would stand to reason that they would become more ravenous and strong when the supply of fresh meat runs low. I am kinda bummed out that the only things that will be added before the game is fully released are vehicles, npcs, fleshing out the maps and hunting. I can say that without the option for a rifle or any other weapon, hunting will be lacking a lot. Hunting with a shotgun or pistol just doesnt do it for me. I am sure they have plans to add more weapons at some point but it doesnt look like they will before the game releases. Unless they are added when hunting is. I would love to see (as I am sure it has been suggested) hunting bows, homemade bows and crossbows. I know the fans and devs are eager for the game to be released and in no way are my comments about being bummed a complaint. As far as EA games go, this game has had nothing but stellar work and updates throughout.
