the guns don't work well

in some areas of the map they shoot backwards towards you but they do no damage or they shoot without the bullet coming out and in some cases the ammo is consumed anyway please fix this this is frustrating

Can you be more specific? Please read this guide, we need more information as mentioned within this pinned post.

Guns shooting and not actually firing is when you shoot at a zombie that is down and you aim exactly at your feet. Ammo is not consumed. I'm not sure about the ammo being consumed but not shooting. I think it is when a zombie is really close, the bullet fires, there is no sound and your guy smacks the zombie with your gun.

Where?

 

No one will be able to reproduce this if you don't let us know which bits of the map cause this problem, and if you don't provide the basic information in the Bug Report guide MadDan linked it's much easier to just say "probably only affects one payer" than guess which of  thousands of configurations you're using when this happens.
