Anytime I go to a farm all the female animals are dead

Alright so to start off I am playing the sandbox mode which is 6 months later I have no idea if it is supposed to be like this but every time so far I go to a farm to check for animals I have managed to find some male animals however when I scout the area I find that all female animals are dead. So far there has not been an exception and all of their corpses are fresh I checked and there is food and water nearby which explains why the males are well fed and not thirsty so I am not sure if it is a bug that the female animals are always dead or not however I feel like I should report this I hope it is a bug because it sure gets old to always find dead female animals.
