Build 25 & 26 Issue

Was this a previously saved character?

it also could be your comptuer.

My older laptop can only handle demo and the older build. The moment I switch to the newer builds and MP it goes black screen. Reason why, is that there is not enough memory or materials on your computer to run all the meta events in the newer builds. Try a different computer. and also try the older builds. if they do work, I am almost assuming that would be the case.

Can you post a screenshot? If it's what I think it is, somehow you're missing your texturepack for the game.

That shouldn't be.

I've edited for a screenshot.
May have to check again about that screenshot. =)

Right click on Project Zomboid in the Steam library. Go to Properties. Then the Local Files tab. Press the validation button. Assuming it is your texture pack that's missing, this should reacquire it.

Alright, I'll try that, I was beginning to suspect it was the 3D models.

It's still the same, didn't do anything...

Ah, silly of me -- I missed the link. That still appears to be a missing Characters.pack . . . Validating the game through Steam should fix it, but considering, try this: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/7409-released-iwbums-beta-branch-build-26/page-15#entry105101 Just extract it in Steam\SteamApps\Common\ProjectZomboid and let it overwrite the Media folder.

Download isn't working. I'll try it later.

It's still the same shadow... So frustrating...

Can you see any 3D zombies? Also, check the console and/or console.txt file for any error messages.

No zombies either, I can see the corpses but that's it, also the console said some about not delegating sun reflections? And listed things that were causing it. I'm pretty sure they were all from the game's code.

Well there aren't any errors to explain the missing player. I do see "OpenGL version: 2.1.8544 Release" which is a really old version of OpenGL.  Updating your graphics card drivers might magically solve it.  If you set the 3D models setting to "Player only" do you then see zombies?

Updated my drivers, did nothing and if I set it to player only I see zombies and since Build26 was implemented fully, it has a "None" option where it disables 3D models and everything is lovely!
