what trouble did you have, should work fine in build 26, the next release will work in build 27.

Well thank you for this program. Also, I'm glad to hear there are new links up for the edit. I'm not sure that you understood the harmfulness of that part of the code. So if your upset about being forced to remove it I'd like to share with you what just happened to me. 

I am the admin for a server of 5 of my friends. We've been playing, having a lot of fun for a while etc. Well today we started a new server and we were going "legit". We were aiming to play try-hard and give it a serious go. No joking around. So we camped up at a really nice place and began building some sections from the ground up. I was the carpenter. We had roles. We had a couple people looting other houses and killing zombies - A pretty cool little system we had going on. 

Anyhow, from time to time, something would happen or go wrong and I'd log out of my player account and log back into my admin account. For instance when we picked up a new player and he didn't understand fully what to do. So i could turn on invisibility. get to him, help him out then log back into my regular player account.

The purpose of logging out is because with an admin account I run into some bugs that make the game less enjoyable for me. For example : After the first couple of days I no longer get hungry, thirsy, anxious, etc. Basically nothing bothers me besides pain and weight. Granted: I make sure godmode and invisible are disabled. So I chose to log into my regular account in order to play the game normally. 

WELL. Managed to make it to level 4 Carpenter for the first time. Had all my major items on me. Hammer/saw/sledgehammer/ and other important items that I kept in a crate. I was over encumbered, but i was taking them to a new crate right across the yard. However when someone needed my help because their map wasn't loading (i found out they had disconnected), I forgot that i wasn't on my admin account anymore and activated invisibility. I was going to travel to him. However, now It seems that I am facing imminent death. I am now gonig to lose the progress on my character which I have played very very hard and safe to prevent happening so that I could max carpentry and farming. I am also now going to lose important items. I pretty much now give up on playing this game based on this frustration. Gonna wait weeks until my brain starts finding the thought of this game exciting again... Just kinda made me quite angry that I tried so hard and lost unfairly. That part kicked the bucket for me. Anyhow - I see your point in adding the code in to make that happen and I'm glad that you've removed it. I just hope that ya understand why such an idea could turn bad quickly.

when you make your server the first time it asks you to put in a admin password, remember the password.

start the game, and put your servers info in, then for name use "admin" and the your password u made for admin when the server first started.

then any character you log in to later with any name you choose you can also make admin by typeing /grantadmin "the name"

 

you extract the AdminToolsNormalPZ.7z or AdminToolsBedfordPZ.7z and inside is a folder called AdminTools

copy that folder to your project zomboids game folder :/programfiles(86)/steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/media/lua/client

you can either put it directly into the client folder or make a new folder named Mods and place it in that.

i just redownloaded the latest upload and it seems i made the folder hidden by mistake so ill have to fix it, but if you know how to view hidden folders then just change the folder settings .

 

just remember you need to be a admin to even see the menu come up so if you cant type /createhorde 1 and spawn a zombie your not admin.

no admintools go client side, the error is with the admin chat, im gunna upload a version without it for you to test quick, i havnt got that error tho.

delete the old AdminTools folder

and extract this download and put the AdminTools folder from it in its place just like before.

and your projectzomboid works without it fine tho?

because it seems like your missing files either in my Admintools or the game itself.

your putting the whole AdminTools folder in right?

not just the lua file.

another question, are you installing it on the server files or the client files?

yes, I'm putting AdminTools folder with all the files inside.

its not appearing because the error for admintools.lua

which is odd because i run it on build 27, my admin does, and several others with no errors.

and its erring lines like they are written wrong. its tested on all the hot fixes and works fine also.

can you just right click the console click edit,select all, the copy and paste that?

i have no clue why its erring like it is for you.

try making a new folder named Mods and puting the AdminTools folder into it. i see no reason it shouldnt work, im running it right now, talked to my admin hes running as well no errors on start up.

dunno , i know that AdminTools dosnt change anything, it will run clientside on any server you join and are admin on. it dosnt need to be on a server and actually prolly shouldnt be installed to the server .

Idk if it has anything to do with it or not, but the filesize for the new folder is a great deal smaller than the filesize for the previous version i downloaded from here a week ago. I saw where the issue with the last guy came up you said that it seemed he was either missing game files or missing admintools files.

Also - I'm running into a funny little problem that I won't hassle you with because I assume it's on my end. However, I will mention it just in case. I simply cannot paste your folder. For some reason moving the Admin tools folder somewhere WILL create an existence but it will not show up. 

For example: 
If I paste or move that folder to C:\Desktop it will create C:\Destop\AdminTools. So if i RUN that destination i will find the folder. However, I cannot browse for it. With folders unhidden, I cannot simply go to desktop and find it. Nor if i paste it in documents or in the project zomboid folder. The folder is invisible ... It doesn't show up but If i try pasting it a second time it will ask for me to overwrite. It's weird. Windows 7 - Use it for a few years now and have never ran into an issue like this. I'm not certain if this could prevent it from loading or not.

set to show hidden folders and files, then find Admintools and look at its properties and uncheck Hidden.

the file size is difrent because i removed the audio files for the button clicks and stuff cause it really wasnt needed and i personally seen no real use for it. he got his fixed by making a Mods folder in c:/program files(86)/steam/steamapps/common/ptrojectzomboid/media/lua/client  then putting the AdminTools in that.

i also run Win7 64 , but the only way i could see not finding the AdminTools Folder is its a hidden folder so the system wont let you see it, ill swap out the links tonight some time with the folder changed from hidden to normal. but you can do it yourself like i said in the begining of this .

When loading into game as Admin on my own server there is no UI other than the coords, http://i.gyazo.com/971b94296b8d95cc40582459bee8644b.png I've tried at 1980 full screen and windowed, Still no UI, Any fix?

did you press home key? if the coords are showing its working. its not open on start anymore as it was in older versions.

 

 

installing

1: download one of the 2 files, depending on your server setup. if your not running bedford get the first link, if running bedford use the second link.

2: unzip the file.

3: open the file and copy the media folder.

4: goto :/program files(86)/steam/steam apps/common/ProjectZomboid and if you had paste the media folder here.

5: when asked to overwrite say yes, its not over writing any files its just placing a AdminTools folder into your media/sounds folder and a Mods folder into your media/lua/client folder that contains the AdminTools.

6: boot the game and join your server as Admin, you'll have a menu in the upper right side between the loot menu and the time. it can be closed/opened by pressing the Home key.

Your mod does not work for me anymore, it used to thought.

I am pretty sure I am missing files or something.
