Howdy. Tried to build a Double Tall Wooden Gate and the game ate my materials without building anything. Details follow!

Version: 42.2.0
Mode: Singleplayer
Game: Apocalypse
Name: B42_2_0-001
Issue: Building does not get built but materials get consumed
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq4GPwsTMaM
Data: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MkOqDIFtJhpxHDnJk43j5F58KZN3mv5G/view
Note: Data contains the save/logs/settings from Zomboid folder; save is a backup from PRIOR to unexpected behavior.
Mods: Removed prior to issue replication and bug report submission. Mods were UI only. B42SimpleStatus,DRAW_ON_MAP

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Load save
  2. Open build menu
  3. Attempt to build Double Tall Wooden Gate

Expected behavior:

  • Resources are expended, and Double Tall Wooden Gate appears in designated location

Observed behavior:

  • Resources are expended, but nothing appears

Additional information:

  • Issue has occurred in this save before; I was able to work around the issue last time I observed it, but I do not recall exactly how, I believe I dropped all of the building materials onto the ground where the gate was to be built instead of carrying the materials in my bags.

Other reports:

Estimation:

  • There may be an issue with building when multiple containers must be parsed for the materials. In my case my character is carrying planks/nails/knobs/hinges across two Hiking Bags and ALICE belt/webbing. This would explain my situation as well as its potential workaround. The individual in the aforementioned report may have been doing something similar as the forge is also a very large building project that might require materials carried in multiple bags. I will update this thread if I am able to confirm a reproducible workaround.

Thank you for your consideration.

Just came here to report the same. At first I thought it was because it was only supported on one side, and then maybe because one side was metal not wood. Also happened both with materials in hand and on the floor.
