GeneralRambler
I'd love to see some variation in the terrain, too. If the heightmap would be as simple as this http://i.stack.imgur.com/E7wic.jpg there almost shouldn't be any problem with a hidden player model.I posted about this same topic here on the Suggestion Thread. The thread was called Varied Terrain. This is a quoted post someone posted on my thread. I found it quite interesting. The image shows how the 3D terrain height map could possibly work in an isometric game such as PZ.

EnigmaGrey
Yes, it's already been done. Take a look at the train yard.

I think instead of it being completly flat looking, It should be more...Pixely? And roundish, I'm not sure if they are able to do that with pz's engine though. Necromatic_Corgi
These could be a good base for hills and stuff, But they need to be smoothed out, And they need to look like they are part of the ground. Like long grass on the sides, Rocks, Berry bushes, And tree's, There could be a long expanse of hill's with cliff's and other stuff, Like creeks. Also instead of having the pine tree's that we already have, Make taller ones with canopy's, And when we enter the forested area's we could see branches on the tree's and shade from the canopy overhead, It's hard to explain really, And i'm not good at explaining things, But it would be amazing GeneralRambler
Ayrton Orio
As the game got a new water rendering system, i was wondering if some work was being put into implementing rock blends, or possibly elevated rocks?
