Sanctus
In project zomboid a rather large amount of emphasis is put on crafting. Craft a molotov cocktail to thin out a horde before going in with a bat, craft bandages, craft food. This has probably been suggested before in part and is in the game in part. But I think that more craft-able weapons would be really cool. for example: Stick + kitchen knife + duct tape = Improvised spear Sock + pool ball = Flail (maybe even two of each for twice the smashing (flails are sometimes misnamed maces)) metal pipe (sticks would be too flimsy) + "insert vaguely large round metal object here" = mace These are all examples not the only ones I want added. Ridickulo
Don't get me started... One of the reasons i simply dislike the TV Show "The Walking Dead"... I mean, they should be making swords and training medieval style combat! So, yes. Craft makeshift swords. And for people that think it is crazy to craft from zero, go watch this: Cykodelik and Gaffa Tape Warrior
Ridickulo
Also, just remembered that Vietnamese people have been known to use the remains of American weapons on the fields (e.g. unexploded ordnance) to manufacture high grade steel farming tools as they had no access to good raw materials. (maybe not anymore but definitely during the communist era) There are countless examples. Absence is the mother of ingenuity. Of course, right now everything crafted in game is "on the spot". Such things would require the previous construction of workshops and of course a secure location. Gaffa Tape Warrior
