gamber Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) I butchered a dead rhode island red hen and got whole chicken. but it did not consume the dead chicken. is this because i butchered it from my backpack? i tried this a couple times and now i have too many chicken parts. i do not know if this works on other animals or specifically the rhode island hen. please help. AnNaj Posted January 14 Posted January 14 This bug happens everytime when you put an animal into another container than floor or main inventory, works with every kind of animal, and every kind of container (backpacks, car trunks, crates, fridges...).
Silence30 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 also commenting on what AnNaj said. I put a chicken in the fridge, then used the B crafting menu to butcher the chicken and it duped
Zambronie Posted February 3 Posted February 3 A fix for what seems to be this bug was listed on the patch notes for 42.1.
