Filling bottles with water rain

I'm not sure if someone already mention this idea, but it could be great to leave empty bottle on the ground, empty mug or different containers to just gather water during rain. Even in DayZ it's now this possible. Now the only way is to build Rain Collector Barrel (or finding a well), and it takes a lot of time, good if it could be something that will help to survive during this long process.

in reality - it will take a some time to fill a water bottle with rain water considering how small the hole in it. maybe a half bottle would do but then this is just a game so your suggestion might be possible.

Yes, I agree, but bucket can be filled faster, and sometimes it might save someone's life. Also another suggestion is to connect funnel to bottle to filling it faster.
