B42 Animal Zone Merging

I'm really enjoying B42 but I find the way animal zones are automatically merged really annoying. I have two separate fenced pens that I try to make into two different zones but they keep getting merged automatically. Having an option to either separate the zones or a toggle so that a new zone isn't automatically merged. would be a life saver.

I've found a fix for me after waisting a month in game, 200 nails+, tons of woods, building/dissassembling fences : Keep 1 square free from any fence around your rectangle/square animal zone.
