Modding Capabilties

Exactly how far can the game's modding system go? I've got some questions about what's possible and what's not when it comes to third party content:

 

  • Can Traits and Professions be altered? Added?
  • Can specific buildings have custom loot tables added?
  • Can custom icons and models be imported into the game?
  • Can Trait points be added as part of a random number generator on player character creation?

There's a lot of things that can be done just with recipes alone. I like it. Still wish I knew how to write in lua though.

Lua is actually quite easy to pick up. I started a tutorial in which I've linked to other resources. You can also find short tutorials on pz-mods.net and the pzwiki. To get familiar with its syntax I recommend the official manual.

robomat's tutorial really helped to learn the basics

you will not have to spend hours to make your own scripts work if you read through hes tutorial:)
