Beard
Most servers are hosted on Linux, therefore there should be no issue with them. Can I ask how exactly you hosted on Linux? And did you use the native Linux version or did you run it through Proton? Lastly, are these two PCs on the same network?

I'm using the "Host" function in the game (On linux) as far as I can tell its running Native on linux (I have not told steam to run it thru Proton, and in the file directory there is a "ProjectZomboid.sh" file. might not be the exact name cuz I'm on windows RN to bypass my problem ATM) Both PCs are NOT on the same network no... But since my other pal who is on linux does not have the same issue I don't think that's the problem... Also I DID also try port forwarding and I tested if these ports where actually open, and they where... Site used for that was "https://check-host.net/check-udp"
Beard
Yeah that is fairly unusual. Can you share your logs.zip file found in Home\Zomboid on the Linux PC? Since the logs you sent are from the Windows PC only, I want to compare them with the Linux one too.

We kept trying and stuff... restarting the session, the game, the pc, etc SOOooo lots of logs! 24-08-24.zip

Beard
Thanks, the logs seem to all be in order. The only unusual thing I can see is that the game is installed in "/mnt/51770b14....", so this is a mounted drive that you are using? Is the drive using any of the standard Linux file systems? Such as EXT4 or is it a NTFS hard drive? Is it possible to try installing the game to the standard Home folder instead? Just to test if the filesystem or the path would be the cause of the issue. Sooo I fixed it by using steam's launch options and sellection "Compatibility Mode"! Thanks for your time anyway!
