Smelting metal items

Hi all, I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but a quick scan of the forum gave me no results. My suggestion is to create a special type of furnace in some industrial buildings to smelt metal items in, like cans or cutlery. The smelted metal could be poured on a cast (maybe wearing some kind of protective gloves) to create metal sheets or something.

I don't remember if the developers wrote about this. but there should be something like a furnace for metal
