Plastic / Grocery bag alternative for water barrels

As the tile says, using those smaller bags as a alternative for water barrels or a smaller version of one. I always seem to have trouble finding a garbage bag for a barrel so I think using the grocery bag would be a nice way to fix that, or use them in another way because once you get hiking bags, those smaller bags are pretty much useless as a long-term item.

I think that those bags would not make sense as a rain collection option. The plastic is way too shoddy. Though, I think you should be able to put buckets and cooking pots out into the rain for rain collection

Yeah, shoddy but if you can figure out a way to do so, (multiple bags, tape, ect), you can fashion something up. It is survival, after all. Nothing is perfect but good enough to get by with.

If you want to collect water with plastic bags you would need many of them.

Yeah they are a little bit fragile but it's better than using a garbage bag for a small barrel when you could save them for a large barrel.

should be possible.They don´t have the need of holding weight, just keep the wooden construction tight.
As much they drop, it could be like 6 Gorcery bag + ductape. Also like 8 Ductape should be able to keep water in a barrel.
