on .13 I had a crawler appear from a zombie I had previously assumed dead which seemed invincible.  Nothing I could do with a perfectly decent bat seemed capable of hitting it.

 

I think it's gonna hard at the beggining to know how to hit them, but in fact, it's pretty simple, they are crawlers, they slowly turn, just walk around them and hit them with a charged attack, try to always be on their back and you won't be bited at all :D

Is it just me, or it is pretty uncomfortable to hit zombie which appear at left, right or upper side of character. I think this general issue with aiming behavior. I'll explain. When my mouse aiming at the ground, west of my dude's legs bottom, character actually turns south-west. Same with east - he turn south-east. And one more discomfort thing about aiming: when I place cursor at dude's body I personally expect him to turn north instead of south. Imagine zombie comes from north and he is partly invisible because of character body. So you literally aiming yourself to hit north zombie :) I hope I explained my point well :)

 

And 2 minor glitches with beard:

1) When creating character and first beard type (bushy one) is selected by default it is not displayed on character. You need to cycle selection forward and back to display it.

2) When beardy dude is fighting, his beard actually disconnects from his face and flying around :D

Something is really bad on my end. As I get into the game the fps is at a all time low unlike the other builds and I can't even try to play at the current frame rate it has. Is there a reason this build has a massive speed loss?

 

Or do I simply need the previous build to solve this?

My old SaveGame still doesn't want to run (now, im not even able to get over the Intro)... (yes, it was a savegame from build 10, yes ive already sent my save game to R.J. yesterday, yes i've all mods installed i had before...)

 

Im a lil bit desperate now... over a month of hard work (ingame) with my survivor "Fred" ....  :(

 

ill probably have to start ALL new.... but i'll get over it....

 

good time to get rid of annoying mods... and get the update of some others to work...

 I know it works from there (even though they are older builds), I was just wondering why my key doesn't work, when it seems to work for everybody else.

Yes, I had forgotten what thread I was in. :oops: Many things can prevent the key from working, such as firewalls, karama, and several types of djinn. To the support forum!

Is it usual that i can't reload a pistol in hardcore mode, or is that a new bug i just encountered and better should report proper?

 

I was able to get the Magazine out of the Pistol after a restart, yet another restart allowed me to put bullets into the magazine. then, none restart helped to finish the job.... 

 

also no pistol, shotgun or baseball bat in the beginners crate of the last stand mode in challenge2?! is this on purpose?

Yup, you start with some moneys and need to buy stuff (press "o" key), you'll win money for every kills/wave done.

Also you'll have xp to get permanent boost (press "p") :)

 

I should modify the description of the Challenge...

I don't have a firewall (im on OS X and I don't know of any default ones enabled) ^^ Anyway, I posted in the support forum.

I had this same problem in 2.9.9.10, so I kinda avoid Hardcore mode these days

 

I just downloaded & ran 2.9.9.13 without having to put my desura key in.... I see some people were talking about keys earlier in the thread but are you sure the copy protection is on this version?

Oh, Ok cool....

You have to protect this. With NPC's, Profession/Trait Expansion/Rebalance, Spit & Polish, More Weapons & Skills Specialisation.... I think you will have a game that's better than "Fallout 2" & "Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" which in my opinion are the 2 best isometric RPG's of all time....

I don't post much I know and this is most definitely not bug related, but just wanted to swing in and say that you guys are doing amazing work. I'm still playing the previous test version, and it's rough around the edges a bit, but still incredibly fun to play. I've had the game probably a year to a year and a half now and this was definitely the best investment game wise I've had in awhile.

Great additions all around in this build, but the crawling zombies need more tweaking. They have a further reach than Zombies on foot and you need to be closer to attack them. I cant even fight one alone without fear of being scratched.

 

Also, any chance we'll be seeing fixes of map-related issues anytime soon? If the world (so far) is the one that will be kept for the actual game then fixing these would make sense since they've been around since the start, and are starting to become a nuisance. Just my two cents though. :3
