No Game Mod in my Mac

I play the game on Steam, but the Game Mode does not turn on. It still worked until Friday. Why?

Can you elaborate on the issue? Are you referring to game mods or the game itself? Does only a specific mod not work or do no mods work?

I have a Mac Studio with MacOS Sonoma 14. This version recognizes when a playing is started, and thus switches the Mac to a so-called Game Mode. This gives the game more CPU and GPU performance. Project Zomboid had been unplayable before, but thanks to Sonoma 14 the game was really good. Sonoma has only been in existence since September 26. Until Thursday, the game mode was also turned on. But not since Friday. I asked Apple what that is because of that, which says it's probably up to you. Of course I started other programs running on Intel CPUs but also started games that were programmed for ARM CPUs. And all started Game Mode. All programs are started via Steam. As I said, all programs run with Game Mode, only your game has not been since Friday

We have not done any updates to the game since December 2022, you can check the Steam Database as proof of that as well. Meaning this issue would be on Apple's side, as we have not done anything to either allow or deny the game mode on Mac computers.
