When Project zomboid will be officially released

on steam it's been almost ten years that the game is still in early access, I wanted to know if you have a date for the official release of the game, and if the game has already been officially released?

We don't currently have a release date. It's only released in Early Access at the moment.

Just curious what do you mean by proper ending?

Replied where? Just curious because I don't remember us ever saying that anywhere that that will be the case.

At this rate, probably another 4-5 years at best. NPC's are not coming in build 42 which seems like it's not even coming out this year. Although there's signs that they're heading towards the end. They've been making changes to how multiplayer is structured and took time to flesh out the game engine itself, which seems like signs of near completion.

 

BUT, the game is already a complete package. There's plenty room for improvement, but the mods help make those improvements while the devs work on having these things native in the game.

It was in suggestions maybe a few months ago

Some guy was asking about story and giving suggestions about it.

 

I replied that death was ending and they will bring back some story elements from before.

 

Then a Red name came up and said by 1.0 there will be story elements on launch and a way out of kentucky

Those mods are our animations FYI, and they're not implemented because we want to do them correctly without faking them. However, I'm going to assume you won't listen to anything addressing your comments considering the whole point of your account. Criticism is fine and the development time is understandable but I'm going to ask you once to refrain from any further insulting comments.

If the Devs want to take years to make there game perfect, then so be it. Take "Escape from Tarkov" which was also the same that Project Zomboid was and that was 4 years ago. Now if it has "officially" been release, IDK but point is and as they have said, "It'll be release when they say it's done." No one is forcing you to play this, if you don't like it then uninstall it. BTW, TIS is no "AAA" studio and they want to take pride on there work.

Straight up, this game is more feature complete than many AAA games end up finishing with these days. I wouldn't worry much about the EA classification in this case. If I absolutely had to throw a guess out I'd probably guess after the complete implementation of NPCs and their associated systems which going by the road map will be a while, but as they say quality takes time.
